Phlebotomist 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens a variety of tests
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Medical Technician 

Responsibilities

  •  Under direct supervision and in compliance with state and federal law, is responsible for all standardized clinical laboratory analysis in order to provide information or materials for use by physicians in the diagnosis

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in all areas of the lab in a hospital setting.
  • Associates degree required.
  • Uses written and oral communicative abilities to comprehend technical material and communicate with medical professionals.
  • MT(ASCP) License preferred.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with lab instruments.

Laboratory Accessioning Analyst 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
  • Accurately Identify and label specimens
  • Meet department activity and production goals
  • Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
  • Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Resolve and document any problem specimens
  • Scan patient information documents 
  • Accurately enter in insurance information

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • No relative experience required
  • Previous medical or production experience is a plus
  • Comfortable handling biological urine/blood specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Medical Technician Supervisor (Experience with blood)

Responsibilities 

  • Follow the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis and reporting and maintaining records of patient test results
  • Conduct chemical analysis of bodily fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer
  • Follow the laboratory’s established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established acceptable levels of performance
  • Perform a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager or Director including rotation through at least three (3) areas of the Clinical Lab: Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology/Serology, Bacteriology, and Specimen Processing
  • Operate laboratory equipment and instruments; record data and maintain equipment
  • Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument, and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
  • Use universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from bio-hazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens

Requirements

  • MT, MLT degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of laboratory experience in high complexity testing
  • Orchard LIS experience preferred 
  • Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate’s degree in laboratory science
  • Experience in hospital labs

Microbiologist

Responsibilities:

  • Follows clinical laboratory testing procedures and policies in the performance of routine and specialized tests. Identifies source and nature of test problems and makes appropriate recommendation as to course of action.
  • Applies scientific method in problem solving and assists in evaluation of new methods and techniques. Assures that quality control criteria are met and adheres to established laboratory policies in handling hazardous substances.
  • Records necessary documentation to comply with various agency regulations. Performs required instrument maintenance at the prescribed time and logs appropriately.
  • Perform minor trouble-shooting on instruments.
  • Assures a clean work area and technical clean-up at the end of each shift.
  • Assists in maintaining sufficient supplies at each work station.
  • Assists in development and evaluation of new procedures and protocols.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Deliver quality patient care while maintaining efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Orchard LIS experience preferred 
  • Doctoral, Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate’s degree in laboratory science
  • Certified (Medical Technologist certification (MT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or equivalent as defined within Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)) 
  • Experience in hospital labs
  • Comfortable handling sensitive viral samples (COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis A/B)
  • RT​-PCR for COVID-19 testing
  • Meets basic standards and qualifications for laboratory testing personnel under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)
  • Meets all regulatory requirements for moderate or high complexity testing as appropriate within assigned area.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask

*Trilab will be performing a number of COVID tests. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping fight the pandemic and understands the critical role testing holds in the healthcare lifecycle. Depending on the position, tasks related to this may include processing samples, ensuring tests are performed and responding to inquiries about the tests.*
